Bitter Harvest is a farming and life simulation game about ambition, reinvention, and quiet revenge. The player arrives in a small village expecting to claim a promised farm, only to discover the land has already been taken. With no other work available, they are forced to survive as the town’s garbage collector, piecing together a new life from what others throw away.

“Bitter Harvest started as a game about starting over from nothing, but it quickly became about power, resentment, and what people are willing to justify when they feel wronged. I wanted the game to feel calm on the surface while slowly revealing the consequences of the player’s choices as they climb higher.”
Story
After losing the farm they were promised, the player is pushed to the bottom of the village social ladder. Days are spent collecting garbage, salvaging materials, and taking whatever work is available. Over time, the player earns money, builds relationships with villagers, and uncovers secrets hidden beneath the town’s polite exterior. As opportunities expand, the player must decide whether to rise through patience and labor or by exploiting what they learn about others. The story leads to a fixed ending shaped by how the player chose to regain what was taken.
